Post 5791's Commander's Special Project this year is Wreaths Across America - Hudson, NH Area Cemeteries. National Wreaths Across America Day is December 14, 2019. Volunteers will join our Post and Auxiliary members in placing wreaths on each veteran's grave in Hudson's ten cemeteries - Old Center, Blodgett, Ford, Senter, Poor Farm, Sunny Side, Westview, Hills Farm, St. Patrick's* and Holy Cross*. This effort will result in a comprehensive list of all of the veterans buried in Hudson, approximately 400 identified so far. Many Wreaths Across America locations are only tied to one cemetery. Hudson is a challenge because not only are there ten cemeteries, but the veterans are located throughout the cemetery and the graves must be marked for wreath placement. We need many volunteers from the community on December 14. We also need individuals and businesses to sponsor wreaths at $15 each. Of that, $5 is returned to us by WAA to benefit our welfare fund.To learn more about Wreaths Across America, visit, www.wreathsacrossamerica.org. Our fundraising page is at https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/NH0024P. Sponosr a wreath(s) and support our efforts to recognize these veterans' lives.*These cemeteries will have ceremonial wreaths placed at their flag poles as the cemetery administrators will not allow individual wreaths.
